Valentines day is a special day of love and affection. It is celebrated on 14th feb in every year.

History of Valentine day

There is a story behind the valentine’s day is that there was Roman emperor named Claudius II who believes that a single man could be better solider rather than the men those were married. As a result, he revoked all the marriages in Rome. That was the shocking news for the people of Rome, but there was no one who can raise a voice againt the cruel Claudius.

There was another person named valentine, he was the priest when Claudius was rulling over the Rome. Valentine was not satisfied with the act done by Claudius. He saw the trauma of young couple and started to help them .Once he was kept by Claudius. Claudius took him into the prison. There was a jailor who’s daughter usually came to meet him. He fall in love with her Before he was put to death, he wrote a letter for her which is signed “Your valentine”. Valentine died on 14th feb, so the Roman started that day as a valentine’s day.

It is mostly celebrated by the young boy and girl with lots of enthusiasm and fun. People celebrates valentine day by offering gifts and flowers to each other. In many countries roads, shops, parks, and resturants are fully crowded by the young boys & girls and by the couples. On that day, many boys and girls propose to their beloved by offering special gift. Mostly they uses red rose because it is assume from ancient time that the red rose is a symbol of love. On that day Crowd of people can be see on the floweriest shop.
